Re: 651E Rebuilds
Here are some more pictures as requested.
We always put the tractor in the main workshop and often work on the trailer either outside or under a dome. Both parts of the scraper are ususlly finished around the same time and are then re-joined. The repairs are then completed, the scraper is tested and then the whole machine is painted to original state including genuine decals.
We finish them off with window tinting, new CD players, Cat mudflaps etc. If the operators are happy, they tend to look after the machine better.

Re: 651E Rebuilds
The rebuild of all our equipment is based on hours as well as the use of condition monitoring. Oil sampling plays a major part in determining component life.
The scrapers are rebuilt at around 12,000hrs. A complete "new life" is given so as to ensure reliability in the field.
Our mechanics are highly experienced. Some completed their apprenticeships with us, some are ex-dealer servicemen (Cat, Komatsu) etc, but all are from the industry and enjoy what they do. It's important that the people working for you take pride in their work. It always shows in the end result.
We are completing our 5th 651E rebuild at present, with 2 more scheduled in the coming months.
The workshop boys are excited about the D11R's coming up also. They are going to get a "full birthday".
