im currently on site providing dealer back up, the former site was maidens hall where the workshops are still located, the extension is called steadsburn which is on the south side of the underpass, the overburden which is being removed from steadsburn is currently being hauled over to maidens hall to fill the former workings, the 789s and are being loaded at the maidens hall side by the RH200 and the 777's and tr100's and 785's are being loaded by no fewer than 5 rh120's backhoe and face shovel versions and the rh 170 is taking care of the 785s, its a 20 minute round trip to the tip area from steadsburn 5 16h motor graders take care of the long haul roads with support from 2 D9s one D9R and a D9L from becher, i have hundreds of photos and i will post when i get 5 minutes, bechers 641's are parked up along with a D9H ready for better weather, uk coal have planning to start a 6 year job at ashington word is they are hoping to be in in the next few weeks to start site preperation, they have also been awarded a job at tow law county durham, hopefully the 789s which are now over 25 years old and in excess of 58000 hours a piece will gain a new lease of life on these jobs, its just awesome to watch them work with the RH200 (which was the first to arrive in the uk) just how much material they can move in an 8 hour shift.
