Here we go, another mystery...
In a previous post, I mentioned about a side-loader forklift which is currently at the Swan Hunter's yard at Wallsend. Well, this is it, not a large unit by any stretch of the imagination but somewhat special to me as I don't see many of them. In anycase, it was there so I snapped it! Photographer of fortune or something...
I've seen it carrying sleepers, a few I-beams and so on. If its a Swan's owner machine, I'd imagine some timber yard or builders merchant would be quite happy to snap it up.

I've got one of those, the second post with the old 4 ton, mines a 1972 with a 4.236 perkins in it, a pile of junk really but it does one thing well- gets long beams through doors. Couldnt do that with the telehandler without a lot of timewasting slinging and stropping. Some of them had the ford engine.
