It was only by chance that I managed to grab a few pictures today of a 50 ton capacity fork lift truck
![Shocked ](./images/smilies/icon_eek.gif)
yes this is the biggest machinery moving fork truck that I have ever seen. The press company that occupy the unit next door to where I work had a 40 ton press delivered today on one of Allelys heavy haulage outfits, the tractor unit a DAF XF had to nose through our roller shutter doors so that the press could be off loaded as near to the door it had to go through as possible.
This job was by no means an easy one for the machinery movers as the old tarmac outside both units is pot holed and very uneven so as you will see by the pictures the first attempt to unload the press was unsuccessful as the weight caused the 1" thick plate underneath the fork truck to buckle
Eventually they brought in some 2" steel plate and put that on top of the other plate, it still gave a little under the immense weight of the press and fork truck.
