Hi Dave, Not too sure about the transfer of men from CC to SC although I do know a lot of men went with them.

Thx a lot Paul, i wonder if the plant manager Rob Brown and Colin Cornes right hand man Russ Bakewell moved to SC ?

Hi Dave,

I recognise Rob Browns name but not Russ Bakewell's. Andrew Foster is MD of Scottish Coal, another ex CC man.

Joe, that will be more than likely mate, there were two O&K RH90's owned by banks, that worked at the Doe Hill Site in Tibshelf, Derbyshire, a shovel and an excavator.

Alot of sites up here in east ayrshire at the moment.Dunstonhill which is the extension to chalmerston is well underway and is a nice sight from my bedroom at night when its all lit up as its like a wee town.House of water is nearly mined out.Ath have thundered there way through the new netherton site at skares, some amount of overburden been shifted in less than a year.Ath also started duncanziemere at the laigh glenmuir site.Kier mining starting a large extension in feb/march .Plenty of opencast work but for how long will it last??

Is it castlebridge plant that runs equipment for Scottish coal? There's 3 of there 777Fs at EP Heavy Industries in Derbyshire!
