Good topic title :) Don't see many of them little Fiat crawlers around, always thought all that front end tubing/bracketry looked a bit flimsy but may be wrong .

Yeah, They must be much stronger than they look. We have lifted many very heavy things and never for a mishap. However, the later Fiat Allis crawlers had flat bar for the loadr arms. Cheers

Is that one a model FL4?

Saw a couple of Fiat-Allis crawler loaders over the years (no pictures) but not an original Fiat from what I can remember. Nice to see one that still runs and works. :)

Yep, It is a model FL4, 1960. My Dad bought it around 1970, (the same year I was born) and over the years we have aquired parts/donor machine enabling us to keep it running. I still does serious work and is a very hardy little machine.
