I am going to throw a spanner in the works here and suggest that the side on picture of the loader with the bucket high in the air is not a prototype 1600 but rather a prototype "nothing" that went "nowhere". The 1600 had a 6.354 motor and this machine appears to be only a 3.152 or maybe a 4.236 certaionly not a 6 cyl. This machine has many of the features of the prototype 1600 so maybe it was developed alongside the 1600 but discontinued perhaps when Marshalls aquired the Bristol Taurus/1100 loader........................
