McCormick MacNaughton (McCormick), Caterpillar's dealer in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, has gone into receivership. The Dublin-based parent company in the Republic appointed PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) as administrator last week and the Northern Irish business followed a few days later.

Finning UK has been appointed as the Caterpillar dealer for Northern Ireland after it reached agreement to purchase certain assets of the previous dealer, McCormick Macnaughton, from the Administrator for £3.1m.
Discussions with the Receiver for McCormick Macnaughton's Cat dealership in the Republic of Ireland are also at an advanced stage and are expected to be concluded in the coming days.
