Another fine old JCB that I came across today, these machines survive in many different places from farmers yards to preserved railways amazing just how many you can see when your out and about 8-)

I believe the 2D only made it to mk2 Craig.. the 3mk3 was around since 1970ish

Strange number systems , always thought every thing rebadged MKII in 1968? and MK111 in 1977 :dizzy:

This is one I painted up. Photo. taken 14/05/77. It was a 1972 machine.

Bob I have no more pictures of the back hoe, as you can see the machine was surrounded by cars, but next time I go there I will try and get some if the machine is parked in a convenient position.
