For posterity of this machine thread, I took this from Mambos thread.
We had to remove the U-bolt and backed off the nut below to help drain the tank and take some weigh out. We backed it off and rocked it until it stopped leaking repeating the process until we were almost out and then just dropped it.
Once it was dropped all draining ceased.
A few images of what we did.
The area to be tackled. (Need to sort out the hinge)
State of the filter that was in it.
This was on the filter and has the o-ring on the small washer.
This is the bolt with the spring on it to hold the cap and o-ring in place and seal it. (Small sup of oil escaped )
Onto the reassembly. Bolt in, spring on
Washer o-ring on and plate that sits into the filter on.
Filter in next and ready to go
About to bolt it all back together.
I call that a successful day and thanks so much to Mambo for all the assistance and starting a thread right on time.

Just to let ye know the seals in the ram worked and no more leaks. Just been tipping away at a few things around the yard with it and it’s humming away beautifully.

Hi, I got them from a company in Dublin. Hydra seals (hose and bearings).
They said it is a IGM seal kit.

Hi folks,
So we had to change the alternator to get the battery charging. A handy quick job and nothing better than seeing the red charging lights shining back at you.
Yes, I know I need to get rid of the screwdriver and find a key somehwhere. Any one have details on it handy before I go searching?
The next job up was the pipe below the temperature gauge that split. Onto Vicary for a few parts.
Pipe - Q2300043 Q6-3 and a radiator cap too 120/46902
That all for now. Thanks for reading

You're getting there!!I see you took the handy way out with the link fanbelt.Saves taking the shaft off........You'll get a key easily on ebay or most tractor parts stores should have them.Just a standard Lucas key.

Thanks for the support.
Bit by bit is right.
I’ll replace the fan belt and use that link one as a back up just Incase. It was installed in it when we got it. Very handy but I’ll change it anyway.
Standard Lucas Key switch will go in so. At least it will be an improvement on the screwdriver.
Black Friday tomorrow, so, now we have a charging battery I might try to get a few lights for it.

When you put the new belt on you can put a second on and tie strategically to clear everything. Admittedly when I tried that something worked undone and the belt rubbed a bit and also got some oil contamination!
