Russian made scrapers

Post #1 by RichardJW~ » Sat Sep 27, 2008 7:35 am

Here's a couple of machines I snapped during my travels this week in Central Asia

The first is an almost new Russian made s/p model (MoAZ), there were 2 on the patch but the other was down the end parked up

and then there was this one, the boys told me it was a 4 cu.m and it was hooked to a 120hp Belarus

Great pictures, Richard, wondering whereabouts you were in central asia ?
I spent 9 months working in Russia, 2 hours south of Moscow, it was a very interesting experience.

I don't know why but I would expect to see some big Russian female discus thrower getting out of the cab of one of these. With arms as think as my thighs wearing a big greasy boiler suit and a look that says don't mess with me sonny.

Or have I been getting junk emails from the wrong sort of female from the former Soviet Block . :D :D :D :D :D
Six up front .............................means plenty of grunt.

The motor scraper looks like a updated IH machine. The towed looks very similar to a stirling. I wonder if there is some plaguarism going on? :?

That does surprise me Richard, I would of thought in a massive country like Russia scrapers would still be busy like they are in Canada, Australia, and America?

Not so favourable ground condiditions maybe ?

Cheers for posting !

Nick :D
