LIONESS Having A Few Repairs

Post #1 by taurus MK1 » Sat Aug 03, 2013 9:04 pm

 Here we have a Lioness, spent this morning removing a few broken exhaust studs then refitting manifold/turbo etc. This is a trade in unit which has now been retailed but we carrying out a few jobs before she goes. Quite a rare beast, built approx. 1998 by American Tractors in North Yorks, now running a CAT 3406 engine good in this unit for approx. 530 hp, Allison 6 speed powershift trans, the back end is basically a Ford FW60 and the front end rebuilt to suit CAT engine etc, Steiger cab. The CAT engine was a pleasure to work on this morning :) :) Will put some more pics on when outside.

Cheers John

John if you do set the valve lash on the beast 15 inlet and 30 exhaust is a good target, your workshop looks smart as it has a Roof, I struggle to get jobs with this extra.
