Is that the same crew that got the old o&k rh4? Out of the bog that was featured in earthmovers?

This atlas belonged to WAM of Saintfield,She was used to topsoil the batters on the castledawson bypass circa 91-2.Operators name was Robbie who ran a d53p-17 as well. Was shifted to the canal job and the rest is history, story at the time was that they got the burners and burnt the dipper of and left the rest,

Small world mervyn. I live just off the castledawson bypass. Can vegily remember the machines working at it. Think our loader moved a few machines around it but doubt we woulda moved the atlas cause a 30ton digger woulda wreaked our loader. lol I have a magazine sumwhere in the house that shows the work on the bypass and if i remember correctly there was an atlas in the pic but i dnt fink it was a long reach one.

Jimmy,i was on the castledawson bypass from start to finish on a 89 3cx[I was 18 back then],Wam bought a new cat 215 and a d6h for it .The rest of their plant was well spent,Fiat allis 30 tonners and a dozen moxy 6227s and a few mercedes tippers did the muckshift, most of the bellshill cut was run to Huestons farm near Curran which was a long run for the Moxys,.It was a good job with plenty of craic. We worked till 9 during the summer months and Kevin the bowser man came round at 6 and took the orders for the chippy courtesy of Wam,wouldnt happen today.
