I half expected to see the pub with a very large hole in the wall but it looks like the roller came off the worst in this happening.

First thing is no one was hurt. I feel for the rollers driver as repairs to the purch bracket will cost a few bob.It could have been very dangerous as if it was not to the top on water the fire box could have been left dry with no water surrounding it.Steam pressure still there when loading it
. Car drivers have no idea ,they pull infront of artics not realising stopping distance of heavy loads, see it every day.We had a car pull infront of a roller that I was on,we stopped inches of it.It also was the police car escorting us
I saw the copper mouth OH F*** as he looked back at us. Hope its repairs are not too extensive.

Martyn, your bang on! first thing I would of done is rake the fire out! as for loading it while stilll in steam I was very surprised. still as nobdy was hurt it's not a problem.

That Smoke Factory (roller) is owned by a pal from just up the road from me, he was not the pilot in the bump, it would seem it was on a self drive hire, Craig the lad that owns it is very easy going but it might be hard to dump a box of bits on his door step???
