Re: JCB 3CX Fuel Level Sender
Thanks for that Norm. I have found it after taking all the dash off. I found that the sensor wire has corroded away, however the gauage does not work when I touched the sender wire to the brass screw which suggests a new sender unit is required. JCB 3CX Fuel Level Sender
The fuel gauge on my 1984 JCB 3CX model 297348 does not work. Not sure whether it is the gauge or fuel level sender. Does anyone know how to replace sender ( they are cheap enough from Vicary Plant at £30). There appears to be a circular inspection plate at the base of the diesel tank, however there...

Also if SUTO 10W-30 is used as engine oil and transmission oil can it be used as a top up, hence can it be mixed with existing oil ?

Thanks for advice. I believe SUTO 10W-30 is multi use and can also be used as engine oil, hydraulic oil and transmission oil ?

I have recently noticed a small leak on the back axle hub on the above JCB 3CX.
Would appreciate any advice on where you top the oil up and what type of oil is used.

Re: JCB3CX stalled under hydraulic load and will not start
Would this be ok, as I will most probably change oil and filter.

Re: JCB3CX stalled under hydraulic load and will not start
EUREKA I’ve got it started. I now have a clean sediment bowl, a clean lift pump filter, and a clean filter in the back plate of the CAV dpa injector pump. Thanks guys for all your advice ! However, I noticed that the fuel line between the lift pump and main diesel filter is joined with a plastic pip...
