Disc checked and looks straight. I think there defo needs to be shim there as the caliper has marks where a shim slotted in from the top.
Any one got pic’s to share of their 1989 3cx handrake?

Re: Handbrake caliper shims?
Jeremy, good tip I’ll try and turn disc when I get a chance. Assume it will turn free hand out of gear?

Re: Handbrake caliper shims?
There wasn’t a handbrake on the machine, its taken me months to get the right one from vicary.
Possibly the small mounting bracket is bent, maybe original caliper had a knock thats why it was removed.
The replacement caliper had slot/shim marks hence why I’m thinking there should be.

Re: JCB 3D2 electrics
Oh dear, that looks a crazy mess. I just re-wired the cab lights on my 3cx, which isn’t fully there yet. Had to utilise wiring diagram, meter and trace wires from one end to the other.
You may get full wiring harnesses from vicary plant.

Handbrake caliper shims?
Hi All Managed to eventually find the correct brake caliper for my 1989 3cx (I hope). Tried mounting it last night but doesn’t quite centre on the drive shaft disc. Should there be shims or spacer between caliper and mounting bracket? Can’t see anything in parts diagram. http://www.classicmachinery....

Re: 3cx part/cable/switch ID help
There is a buzzer on back frame. Did notice rear hirn on wiring diagrams but dont think it that as it still has a cap on end of wires as if its off top of a switch.

Re: 3cx part/cable/switch ID help
Wont reach there, dont think it was for any of those.
Seems to be some sort of cap that has broken off top of a switch.

Re: 3cx part/cable/switch ID help
@ Jeremy, thanks clicked insert and it worked. But ticked the ‘turn 90deg’ box but it didnt turn.
Anyway, back to original query. Can anyone identify cable?
