Ive also a big soft spot for these machines, learnt in an 805B, (early type with straight six Perkins in it), took 1st test in an 814 super with JCB at Ashbourne, and we have/had an 818 at work. Sadly not, its sister machine fitted with high rise cab has been equally problematic.... Mine's on its 3rd valve block now, countless other parts just broken or failed prematurely on both machines. They were purchased on the strength of the Cat tracked machines the hire co. run, never have a problem...

Not 100% sure about the badge, but definately a Northants registration. NH, NV, RP last 2 of the 3 letters refer to area of issue. (The days when the cops round here actually did something instead of sitting in their Talivan's all day, nicking speeding drivers.... )
