Re: Hymac 580c RH Tracking issue
Update. I have found the bearings and seals locally, and had the shaft and housings built up and re machined. It will be going back together this weekend. Thanks for your help Jeremy! http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/userpix/66390_11CMDKHEQOR0J1618374292.jpg http://www.classicmachinery.n...

Re: Hymac 580c RH Tracking issue
Hello. After taking everything apart and cleaning the parts up there has definitely been someone working on this in the past. The chain sprocket and shaft are not terrible but the rest of the shaft where the oil seal and inner bearing goes are in rough shape. The inner bearing housing and bearing re...

Re: Hymac 580c RH Tracking issue
So I took the rest of it apart today. The bearings and seals are toast. The shaft and sprockets I think will be OK. Can anyone give me part numbers to cross reference for bearings (inner and outer) as well as the face seals and inner oil seal to see if I can source locally, otherwise I might need yo...

Re: Hymac 580c RH Tracking issue
Well I took off the chain cover and found the issue. Looks like the keyways have sheared off. http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/userpix/66390_1PM46H2674VMU1616267597.jpg http://www.classicmachinery.net/forum/images/userpix/66390_1PM46H2674VMU1616267597.jpg http://www.classicmachinery.net/...

Re: Hymac 580c RH Tracking issue
Hi Jeremy, when I lifted the boom up on that side it moved for a few rotations but then stopped as well.
I guess I’ll pull the chain cover and see what I can see and let you know.
Thanks.

Hymac 580c RH Tracking issue
Hello guys I have an old Hymac 580c and am looking for advice on troubleshooting the right side track that just quit working. I think the issue must be in either the rotory distributor or the track motor itself. I swapped the lines going from the spool valves to the distributor and it didn’t move th...

Re: Hymac 580C slew motor seals
Thanks guys. I am trying to find the seal kits before getting it out of the machine and apart. Does anyone know the model or series of these Staffa motors. I can’t seem to find any useful model number or info on the unit itself.

Re: Hymac 580C slew motor seals
Hi guys. It looks like I’m going to have to do this same job on my 580C as it doesn’t stop well when you let go of the controls plus now it is leaking really bad out the bottom around the gear. Can you guys provide any part numbers or info on the seal kits so I can hopefully source them locally in C...
