Re: JOHN W DROTT FAMILY
I was always curious where the name "bullclam" actually came from. I've heard it being applied to 4-in-1 buckets mounted on everything from backhoes to trackloaders; but also large mining face shovels as well! Its wonderful to hear that the family is so proud of their achievements; and tha...

Re: JCB Excavators Old & New
Just found this 814 Super (early version with the white cab) on an eBay search this morning. Looks in good condition! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JCB-814-SUPER-TRACKED-DIGGER-1990-14-TON-2-BUCKETS-PERKINS-ENGINE-VERY-CLEAN-/301156734634?pt=UK_BOI_Industrial_Tools_Construction_Tools_ET&ha...

Re: Fiat dozer, might be a BD14?
It all helps, thank you. :) The dozer was a big surprise find as its very likely the only Fiat I've seen. Maybe they just weren't imported into the UK or its one of the few that's left, who knows. To understand what the dozer actually is, is a great help. It also assists me in piecing together a few...

Re: Hymac Excavators
Yes, that would appear to be the same machine! I'm glad to hear that it drives well and it still looks a very smart piece of kit next to the JCB. How does it operate compared to one of the older Hymac's, as in the rebadged FAI machines? Is there any real improvement with the Synchron models? http:/...

Re: Fiat dozer, might be a BD14?
I wasn't aware there was an AD12 model, this I must look into, maybe hunt around for a brochure so I can try and compare pictures with the one I snapped.
Very intriguing, thank you.

Re: Hymac Excavators
Nothing wonderful to add but thought I might as well post it here. I was looking through some old construction-style pictures on eBay and found this one. Something caught my eye concerning the excavator and now looking at the enlarged version, there's Hy-mac on the boom! Not sure what model it is th...
