Re: Recent I.O.W trip
I wonder, given the location of the little Kubota, is it owned by the Church/Council and used for gravedigging, especially given the width of that bucket..... I was wondering the same thing. There's quite a few small tool hire places on the island as well (Yanmar machines are common) but I don't se...

Re: Hymac Excavators
There was a company in the UK called UMO Plant who either built or hired out/operated Soviet/Russian equipment. They were best known for being a major (perhaps the only one) distributor of Belaz rigid-type dump trucks in the UK as well as Europe. The 5015A and 4321 are the only excavators I'm aware ...

Re: Recent I.O.W trip
I usually have an annual trip to the Isle of Wight and sometimes you do find some older equipment kicking around. I'm quite familiar with the church at Godshill, beautiful building it is and in a fantastic setting as well. I'd love to know who owns the Kubota as I'm heading that way myself in March ...

Fantastic pictures of the wheeled rehandler, would love to see that working. Looks in good condition as well! Is it a modified 610?

Re: Terex Loading Shovel on E bay
I'd love to know about the history of that particular vehicle; the only Terex loading shovels I've ever heard which had a drott bucket and either tow bar or rippers were ex-MOD machines (I recall a container handler on a Cat 988 on Machinery Trader once). Hopefully it finds a good home. Plus with th...

Re: Hymac Excavators
What's the story with the Hymac in blue behind the beautifully restored 580C, Jeremy? Another restoration project in the works?

Re: The Poclain Thread "Vive le France"!!
Just found this one on eBay whilst looking for brochures; never heard of a Poclain "80" other than the LC80 so might be an 85 instead?

Re: Rear push plate on Cat wheel loaders?
I have seen an advert showing a Terex wheel loader (think it was a 72-71) used for "switching sidecars", but the picture wasn't clear enough to see if it had a push plate like this on the back.

Rear push plate on Cat wheel loaders?
I've just been doing my usual scan through ebay looking for any brochures or spec sheets that catch my eye and this one certainly did, I wasn't aware they made push plates for wheel loaders. Very curious. Would you be able to push load a small scraper with one? http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxMjIz...
