hi mechman here apart from my dumper ive been offered a greater challenge its a 1955 ish coles 6ton diesel electric crane its been stood 5year_ problem is water in oil besides head gskt & liner seals cant think of much else. Engine looks 4d ish not quite identified yet, Worst case swop engine. H...

tried cold start lever etc cant tow it as yet because of wrecked track rod will try when track rod situ remedied.
How big was the guy on youtube (just a thought)

decompression levers are joined together so cannot have one without the other. Got dumper given to me and have been told it did run but very difficult to start which has proved correct. Would not like to upset the last guy who started it :(

thanks jeremy it has decompress lever but as you say its a limb breaker several bodies have tried it. I dont want it to become a burden on the N.H.S maybe an electric start conversion norm

winget 4s dumper

hi mechman here my recently aquired dumper is very difficult to turn over the compression stroke it has a petters PH2 engine. I was thinking that a decoke would maybe lower the compression a tad or take up body building any ideas anyone :(

winget dumper

hi mechman here. i recently acquired a winget dumper with shot track rod ends. does anybody know of an alternative as the originals are quite pricey at £130 a pair. :dizzy:
