Hi, welcome to CMN. There were 2 types of steering units, Danfoss and Plessey, if you go to the downloads section at the top of the page, look for JCB, click on "JCB" then look for the workshop manual for your machine. All the details you need regarding both units are there. Good luck Mark...

Oops,
just re read your post.
For the temp gauge, use the same green wire that's feeding the fuel gauge from fuse one.( Just piggy back off either gauge to the other), Earth obviously aswell. The temp sender wire would have been blue with a green tracer.

Hiya, fuel gauge wiring as follows. The Sender is earthed through the tank if it just has one terminal one it. (Thats factory installed) A green wire with a black tracer would route from the fuel gauge sender to the "sender" terminal on the fuel gauge. At the fuel gauge, the two other term...

When checking the hydro oil level, if you can see the sight glass, it should be 2 3rd's full. With the machine in the travelling position. I.E as if you were about to drive off
