Anyone know the latest on this model ? still not released, I think the problem maybe caused by the Bycyrus / Caterpillar agreement issue. I know pre production models have been done but held up on technical issues for product release. The first two types were released with no problem so it must be down to the Caterpillar / Bucyrus thing

I read somewhere that it was a licensing issue since CAT acquired Bycyrus - perhaps on this forum! Hope that it does happen as the dragline is the one that I really want.

A lot collectors are waiting for the dragline version, as like Angus, its the one that everyone wants. The last I heard from Brandon in New York was that it was expected soon, but checking the Buffalo Road Import website its all gone quiet again.
I don't get it why Caterpillar inc plays games like this

CAT has stopped all new models.
The dragline will not come from EMD.

Re: EMD Ruston Bucyrus any news ???
Just had an Email from Brandon at Buffallo road imports, it said "nothing yet" . Perhaps Cat don't like the name EMD, they shut that EMD locomotive factory and put 500 people out of work and moved production to a cheaper place, Turkey I think.
Who will produce the dragline now ? EMD turned out some good stuff and at a great price.I hope its not Norscot. Some of their stuff is poor ie the 977. First gear turn out some great models
