Thats right Fred Hymac contested this in court and the court ruled in Hymacs favour.

Hello Ian,
I remember Rees & Kirby's 108.
The brake problem on these arrose when the return line filter was restricted.
When the back pressure in the system reached 200 lbs. the system released the brakes, especialy when cold with thick oil.
The filter had to be serviced regularly.
I overcame the problem by fitting a Priestman 220 filter to our first 108.
The cannister screwed onto the same filter head, but it was twice as long and twice the capacity.
Priestmans later fitted these filters as standard.
I used to repair machines in South Wales for Priestmans when their own fitters were buissy.

Hi Ian
Yes,I think Wimpeys did have some 108s, but there were quite a few others in the area.
Here are some I remember.
I had 4.
Horan of Cardiff had 4.
Lyndon Evans of Pentyrch had 2 or 3.
Tony Carrol, Marton Civils had 1
I serviced or repaired several of these.
Fred

Nice pics Fred  the first photo of the Mustang 220 the backdrop city is Birmingham; here's one that I have in my possession of a Mustang 160 at a trade show, must say it looks the 'bees knees' too. 8-)
