John you think the yeh but the last driver could get in bit is a joke, try operating a tower crane with a mob on the gound asking you to lift a 3 ton bit of kit at jib end when you can only lift a ton & being sworn at coz you wont move shuttering in 50 mph winds of having an eastern european banksman that can only nod at you! Beleive me it's true!!

i know what you mean David then they preach health and safety yet you can`t get into half of the jobs.i rember when i was with bcl i was driving a road railer lifting a large wacker plate under a bridge and the only way was to put out the dipper and creap under the bridge with the
2 rear wheels 3 ft in the air  i didnt give a $$$$ but if it went wrong the driver would be hung out to dry :shifty: i refused to load a tracked crusher on a site in plimlico because there was a massive camber and the crusher would have slid off ,the agent could not see why i would not load it.i said if he took responsibilty for it and all the damage to crusher and trailer and anything else that it hit i would load it,he soon changed his mind   i am going to miss all this   David are you going to spalding on sun

No John i wont be up at spalding i am rebuilding another 911 and want to put it back on the road at the end of this month, i am playing around with full sized machines more now too, sold a tidy 3cmkII and picked up a late 1980/81 MF40 which i will punt out in a month or so and then onto another machine. Still have models and parts though. Keep in touch John.
