Enfield Logic: Who cares if the Mauser can handle a stronger cartridge? While you're still working you're Mauser action to make up for you're miss, my 2nd round is already there.

Yeah wouldnt surprise me Mark, sounded like thats what he would do, he knows its too good for scrap that doesnt mean he cares what happens to if after it leaves his yard. Sad really.

Scrap value wouldve been about £150 a ton wouldnt it? converting the price of scrap here in Aus.
Its had a few bids now, someone will get it and restore it hopefully,

Its more than that now Lindsey in the UK. Hope its saved.I think it will make £1800. Guess the final price :think: good idea for a competition :lol:

thanks for the info re scrap price.

I just picked up a JCB 3c M11 if I did no purchase it it would have gone for scrap. I replied to the following thread to try and find some info about it from the serial numbers.

Help! What JCB backhoe have I bought?

Any replies to that thread would really be appreciated.

I am only new so not sure of the protocols for this site.
