Where is the serial number?

I just bought a used JCB 1cX . Found a users manual that says : This manual refers to !cx from serial number ####### to serial number ########/ Where can I find the serail number on the backhoe ?

The serial number is on the makers plate! But as for the location on a 1CX i have no idea! On a 3CX its on the outside of the cab infront on the front near the loader arms so try checking round there possibly?

Serial number is used for Identification. It is a unique integer number. It is very important for quality control. It is used in any type of industry. So this is very important for the particular product or thing. It is necessary to identify product.

sounds like the makers plate has been removed at some time maybe start by identifying the engine then cross compare parts in u can to establish age etc good luck
