Hi, newbie to this forum here. I'm looking for a replacement diff unit for an early Thwaites Alldrive 2tonner. Its a salisbury axle unit and appears to be scarce as hens teeth! The pinion was an 8 tooth before the metalmunchers ate them all, and the crownwheel is a 51 tooth. Any info on these would be appreciated - I know several of the dumper makers used the same engines/axle/gearboxes etc for example, so info on swapable options would be good, as would s/h parts sources. Info on repair manual sources is also welcome.
Thanks folks - and congrats on an interesting forum

Re: Thwaites Alldrive info required please
Thanks for the welcome Holger. Not the correct place to ask you I guess, but having followed one of your links to Maskinisten network to grab a copy of the JCB 3CX workshop manual, I cant actually get the download. Any instruction on how to do it would be appreciated.
many thanks,
Peter
Edit... Ok, I needed to join! Done it, got the download, but ...... wrong machine. mine is a 1986 black cab s/n 32000 .
Ah well, better luck next time!
