D a n n y wrote:Hi, I work for a small groundworks company in Cornwall. Company name removed on request.

Started with him at the age of 16. Doing all usual groundworks stuff. I still like being on the ground but also like being in the machine. Have done an Nvq2 (plant machinery operations)

When i turned 18 a few weeks back he put me through my Cpcs course, which i failed on the theory part. But i will be doing it again soon as i do abit more revision!

Hi Daniel,

And a big welcome to CMN

When you next see Matt tell him that you have joined the forum where Nick Drew is

I used to work for Matt for a while when he first got his Cat 312B photos of which are probably on here somewhere !

I hope you enjoy your time here :D

I used the search button and found those pictures and uploaded some for you

Yes mate that's me ! But things have moved on a bit from those days as I now write the Digger blog for Contract Journal too which all stems from taking photos on sites and posting them on forums like this !! :D

You just never know who is watching what you write and post !

Please send on my best wishes to Matt

hi daniel, looks like you could have a glorious career ahead of you, dont forget that your boss is spending a small fortune to get your cpcs card, so although its a great asset to his company you are lucky to get it 'on the house' you must be a valued member of staff.

best of luck, my advice to you as someone new in the trade is to listen and talk to the old boys, they know whats what, and always take great pride in your work
