That is indeed what DVLA thinks. The current V5 and age related reg was issued on the strength of a Historic Tractor and Engine Club certificate that in the absence of a chassis plate used the engine number for dating. They had been informed by the then owner that it was a Winget and didn't question that bit. He'd been told that by the previous owner. That looked odd to me and I finally identified it as a Barford 100. I do know it's original reg number but without a chassis number or any other info I don't think it's wise to go bothering DVLA to change it.
