Thanks Nicky! the weather has near got me beat on this job now....I have a 5 yd Onions box behind one of the 22A's now as it is the only thing that can be dragged across the tip....I HAVE to get the job bulked out this side of christmas, no matter what.

Thanks for the update Dave,you could easily get some dry weather between now and christmas!!!Keep at it.
I looked at a job for my D8 last week.It's only about 7000 cube and I have more than halved the nearest qoute of the other contractor as he needs to use a digger,dumptruck method.I know I can push it out in a week but I have said I wouldn't start the job untill March time.He wants it doing right away but I have said no unless we get a couple of hard frosty weeks.(And that probably won't happen).I have also got a few days on a demolition job for the D8 that I was on last year but am still waiting on a lowloader to be in the area to keep costs down for the customer.

Good you have found a bit of work for the D8 Nicky
I am now reduced to pushing the last of it out with the D6 pushing the muck up into a heap outside the lake boundry is the best I can do.
the trouble is, that the muck is grey clay with loads of sand pockets
probably 80%sand and the sand pockets let the rain water straight through, so it is always wet...........a dozer is all that can travel on it once it has been moved and rained on. There is just no dry muck to make a haulroad for the scrapers
