Rubber Seal Between Cab And Chassis

Post #1 by mikefoxo » Sat Jan 06, 2018 7:46 pm

I'm looking for a replacement for the seal that goes between the cab and chassis on an old JCB (3MkII). The one on ours has deteriorated and now acts like a sponge, holding in water and slowly rotting the bottom of the cab (is this why they all rotted?). Is there a similar type seal/rubber/product that would do the same job but not degrade and be more harm than good?

Try Woolies trim, or vintage supplies

I have seen people recommend these guys before
http://phoenixtrim.co.uk/
They have a nice online catalogue , I see page 30 has flat rubber .
Looks like you would just make one up , punch holes and use some sealant on the corners .
Best of luck , I'm sure it won't be as easy as it looks :D
