It's pulling 100 tons in that pick. Wow what a tool

This one off ITW was sold to London Docks for towing barges. We think the steering wheel was fitted to apply gradual pressure to the steering brakes as a means of reducing the risk of side snatching which could have a very wet ending.

A beautiful replica of the barge tractor built by 20 year old Rhys Boni from Jedburgh, the detail is amazing.

The yellow machine behind it is a Ransomes Sand Skimming Tractor I am in the process of rebuilding. They were used for removing a layer of contaminated sand from the surface of water treatment filter beds.Based on an extended MG6 chassis. I am still collecting missing parts.

What publication are the pics of the ITW shunting wagons from?

Was the winch just fitted to the ITW or could a standard crawler be bought with one fitted?

The inboard winch was also available on the MG6 crawler used considerably in timber extraction.
