Look at Life - New roads for old 1959

I really wasn't sure where to place this. Maybe we should have a 'Historical' topic?

Any road up (pun not intended) I found this interesting from a plant and vintage truck point of view. Apologies if it has been flagged up before.

St Albans is my home town. (I am an old Albanian.) I well remember it being like this! That junction, where the A6 crossed the A5 was declared the busiest road junction in the UK! Before they put in traffic lights it was supervised by a traffic policeman who was magic at his art.

I bought the ' Look at Life ' packaged set of Transport films off Amazon , its fantastic , the picture quality of the film is brilliant .
10hrs of cinema style viewing of a clean tidy well ordered Britain full of British vehicles.
I know some things are better now and some things are worse 'was it ever thus' but 1960s Britain looks a great place.
Can't recommend it highly enough and as they are all 10 min films made for the cinema you can dib in and out .

Watched the series on TV - Great!
Question is... Is anyone doing the same thing now for the next generation?
