Great old film Martyn, :claphands:
I live quite close to Stilton and the village seems nearly as busy now as when the great north road ran through it  . The A1 village bypass shown in the film was upgraded to an eight lane motorway A1M in 1998. Amazing how things change in just a few years.

Ive added a photo of the first machine I saw when the upgrade started, one of Mainlands machines taking out the hedgerow just off Norman Cross roundabout, next to Stilton.

We had our caravans at the back of the Stilton pub when doing the upgrade in 1998

Would that have been the Stilton Cheese?
I spent many hours on that job when I was fitting for Clee Hill. They had a large amount of kit hired out on there, that's why they opened a depot at Peterborough, It was very handy really having the job on my doorstep
