Brown and Tawse Metre Eater

Post #1 by Ian Fletcher1970 » Thu Dec 02, 2010 2:40 pm

Can anyone remember a machine from the seventies by I believe BROWN AND TAWSE called a Metre Eater. I believe it was a self propelled road breaker - I never say one but can vaguely remember seeing an advert for it in a trade magazine. Thanks Ian

Hi,
Brown & Tawse must have been distributors for quite a few manufacturers. I still have and use a Montabert 250 hammer and two Vibromax rollers which I bought in the 1980's all with "Brown & Tawse" plates on them. They were bought new from Cambrian Group in Cardiff.
Incidentaly all those items feature in posts on here somewhere.
