Does anyone think i should change the title of this thread perhaps??-

With regard to the scammell i was talking to an older friend of mine just the other day - i mentioned the scammell and asked if wards had aquired it from new-direct from the dealer-my mate reckons they ( wards ) bought the truck believing it was new but it had actually spent 2 years parked at a dockside in storage?? apparantly parts were an immediate issue also -still a beatiful truck and i hope when -(if ? )they restore it they stick the sleeper unit back behind the cab and not the dump body-

I was also told the scammell was bought by ward bros to replace an older lowloader which was trashed when it became stuck in stanhope ford during heavy flooding with a 50t dumper on the back - apparantly both ended up somewhere downstream on their sides ,does anyone remember this ? or is it just hear say??
