Never thought of that Fred , sure you are right, it would be a nuisance swinging about on the back of a track loader.

Massey backactors were detachable, never tried it though - looked a right faff!
Note the groundworkers almost under the overhang with the site office on top.
If a LandRover doesn't leak oil, it's run out.

Won't take long to load for this enormous Michigan to load this Bedford TK tipper with grit ( if they close the tailgate ! )

  hmm wonder if the driver noticed how much quicker the truck got as it went down the road getting lighter and lighter?

I did know a truck driver who took a container trailer over to the continent; when he got there and they opened the container doors it was empty  he had picked up the wrong trailer, he said "I wondered why the truck was pulling so well?"

Some stills from the 'Look at Life' film series made by Rank as 10 minute secondary films for cinemas fillers , these are available on dvd compilations and are superb quality , I have most of the compilations on dvd , they show what a fantastic place Britain was in the 1960s from all aspects but especially in science and manufacturing ! ( but maybe not Health and Safety !) Some are on You Tube .

Good stuff Craig you are quite correct mind the Health & Safety have not made things any better we would be better off without it.
