Thanks Ross, :D

Great to see any O&K pics,

I have a mate who lives in Northampton who used to work as a fitter for O&K out of their Watford Village depot, he used to be part of a team who also used to go about building O&Ks on site.
His name is Nick Leatherland he now works for a good firm that I have done a bit for James King Earthmoving from Blisworth, Northants.

I have operated RH4, RH6, & RH9 models in the past, I used to love the purr of those old Deutz engines !! ;)

I am only a construction operator so have never had a chance to operate anything in the 120s league!!

Very nice pics! I like the looks of O&K excavators. Looks great! Sadly there is very seldom you see a O&K excavator here in Sweden. Have seen smaller machines one time...

Such machines is made for use in mines I beleive. In the north of Sweden in the county of Norrbotten where Malmberget and Aitik can be found they use large excavators of Libherr make. They are huge but not the largest as can be found. The largest excavator are in a mine as is a large island in Canada.

If you mean the biggest hydraulic excavators then yes there is not very big ones here in Sweden (but they are still very big though!). However there is afew large stripping shovels in the Aitik copper mine. Such as two 1.300 metric ton P&H 4100.

The Syncrude oilsand mine in Canada (located close to Fort McMurray) is one of the largest mines in the world.

Here is a list of the larger mining shovels in the Syncrude mine:

1x Terex/O&K RH120
1x Terex/O&K RH200
3x Terex/O&K RH400 (worlds largest hydraulic excavator, 1000 metric tons)
4x P&H 4100TS
7x P&H 4100BOSS
3x Bycurus 495HF

And just for fun, the dump truck fleet...

11x CAT 793
48x CAT 797
12x Komatsu 930E
23x Liebherr T282B

They also have a Komatsu 960E for testing...
