Around 20+ years ago I went to a drainage Board event somewhere near Retford and took the following picture. Lots of river and waterways maintenance kit on show for contractors and IDB's to view.
The location and event may ring a bell for someone (purely for interest)

Sorry missed your question earlier. They are just trimming with a finger bar mower or trying too. Developed for places where flail equipment can't reach.

Plant at rest on the new A14 project Cambs.
This is on the road from Fenstanton to Hilton. The distant white stick in the top picture is the wind turbine at Wood Green animal sanctuary near Godmanchester.

LAMMA
The former Lincolnshire Agriculturl Machinery Manufacturers Association now holds it annual show at the East Of England showground, Alwalton, Peterborough. Always plenty to see, not much heavy plant but quite a bit of small scale equipment and machinery for fencing contractors as well as the more unusual.

Quad bike with fore end loader !!!

It's scary to see these pics as I was only discussing the quad loader and the flat pack truck with a friend yesterday! I can't think of any situation where the quad would be more useful than say a small Kubota type tractor with a loader (power steering too) and with a price for the loader kit of around £6,500 plus the price of the quad it makes me wonder. With a 5' lift and a 250kg slw a shovel may be more cost effective?
The Ox is a nice idea, Transit running gear I think, but with a 2 ton payload I wonder how far it would get on unmade roads with those small wheels.
The green beastie - Steiger Panther I think, also known as a Ford FW30 (or 60, can't remember which!).
Grassmen. I just don't get it. Don't get me wrong, I'm sometimes on the grass trailers myself and I really enjoy watching them and the quality of production ect., but how do you market the popularity of cutting grass??? Well done them for finding a niche market because I wouldn't have believed the success it's been.

On a similar theme to the OX as seen at LAMMA I saw this machine at South Cerney steam fair a while back. Called a Pico-trac, intended for developing countries using Lister Petter components. I cant see much evidence of success on the www.
