Really like the pic of the 30RB shovel placing pipes . The photo above it with the Leyland 6w Tipper towing a low loader trailer with track shovel is interesting .
This was a very rare combination back then and still not so common now , cept for the planing boys who seem to have took it up .

Thank you for posting. These pics bring back memories.
I worked on the ECO2 and CS3 Comets and the S Type bedfords in the 60s when I looked after a mixed fleet of about twenty, and I owned one of those dodges soon afterwards.
I also maintained 19 and 22 RBs through the 60s into the 70s too, used to get to drive them. The face shovel was a brilliant fast tool if you could put up with the noise and the heat.
The Hymac in the last pic was taken in Castle Street, Merthyr Tydfil in the mid 70s, the Castle Hotel stands there now. It belonged to rwo friends of mine John and Ken Snape they traded as Ashbank Construction.
