Tell me Joe what thickness of card are you using there ? looks like 0.80" to me .. trying using 0'40" its easier to use, cuts cleaner ..another thing Joe are you using plastic glue ?

Martyn....im using 1mm plastic as i though the thinner stuff wouldnt stick together as easy! And as for glue im just using normal superglue..... I thought this would be ok....no?

I was just going to ask you if they were just nail file boards in that picture......

Cheers sam!

Joe, super glue is ok, but for a slightly stronger bond use Cyano, best known product name is "Rocket" but there are many names on the model shop shelf, it can come in three grades, thin, medium and thick, use the medium for general use .. it is slightly more runny than super glue

As for the sanding boards, yes thats exactly what they are, they are thicker than emery boards, with a plastic middle ..they cost about £1.50ish each .. you can find them at most good independent chemists...

All my masters are made out of plactic card ..here is a picture of the 1/35th scale Hymac masters under construction

It went well til I painted it, the primer and paint reacted badly to the filler!!! It's in bits again now as I try and get the time to rebuild it better, and I'm try to build a counterweight for a345D LME that I've wanted to do for a while now, illget round to getting some pics eventually mate!!
