Davies cranes Volvo FH12

This was my first proper repaint and decaling. After making this model, I found out that the guy who did a superb job on the decals has finished making them.

Tidy decals, done a cracking job there. I like the Welsh Dragon on the Reg Plate, nice touch 8-)

For the re-paint did you strip all the original paint off down to the bone?

Yep, I used NitroMors. It brilliant at taking paint off models, but with the model being a Joal it took some stripping.

I want to strip the paint off parts of my Komatsu WA900 wheel loader but its Joal and the paint is ninja stuff :D

I was told to use NitroMors by 1 person and told by another it wont shift it.

Is there a trick to it?

Yep, I used NitroMors, but Joal paint sticks like s*#t to a blanket on models. Its the Kryptonite they add in the paint. It may take a few applications but it will come off. No word of a lie, you could brush NitroMors on a Joal Volvo FH12 cab and by the time it is all clear of paint you can strip an entire Norscot CAT 777D. WEAR GLOVES and just brush it on the metal bits, it will dissolve plastic parts and go through the parrts and then go back over it again. I wash the paint off under a tap and then go at it again.

When I find someone new to print white decals. The company I got these decals from have stopped doing custom projects. I got 7 cranes another lorry and trailer and a transit van waiting for paint.
