JCB Chaseside 902

Post #1 by Moors Farmer » Mon Jan 02, 2012 12:23 am

Hi All. 1st post so be gentle with me!

As subject says, I've got one of these filling a gap in a hedge and was considering scraping it. Any ideas on what it might weigh?

Alternatively, and preferably, would it be of interest to a restorer?
When parked up some 4 or 5years ago it was a runner, albeit with shocking brakes, and a massive hydraulic leak (pipe coupling to ram).
Subsequently it's donated it's fuel lift pump and alternator to an ailing Muir Hill 101.

Welcome to this eminent board
How nice that you also have one of those old workhorses!
As you can see in another thread so I have a Chaseside loader
Chaseside SLM 2000 Project !
as I'm about to renovate, it would be a shame if your not also be utilized when there are not many left of them, atleast not here in Sweden ...!
Here it's much more common with Volvo, so I think it's extra fun with an English machine !

What is the rear axle on your machine, it seems that it has been exchanged for a truck axle?

Is it a Perkins engine in your machine ?
