No bother Mark, I have never given up on a project yet and with any luck I am not going to start now  I do appericate that you do keep an eye out for the 418  anyway I did buy an old Lincoln welder with a ford engine in it to keep me buisy while I wait for details of the 418. I am also going to look at a JCB II on Saturday
, Thinking of buying :!:  Looking forward to it and hoping the guy selling it dosent try to price it like something that was hand crafted specially for me  . ( my wife :wtf: :dizzy: :o :wtf: more scrap) happy days

Good luck with that new purchase, hope it all goes well  On the 418 front, the JCB service manual part number is 9803/4000. The Parts manual is 9801/1900. Now I've found some info that suggets the 413, 418, 423 & 428 were very similar! Would you know if this is correct? Because I do have parts info on 423/428 machines  Cheers Mark

 Well done Mark  , I knew a bit about the 413 but not the 423 or 428, I have to admit that after looking at them I don't see any difference you might be correct, I have a lot of homework to do by the looks of it. Thanks again Mark
