Re: what is this
I worked for an out fit one time striping for a quarry. The quarry owners had set up a small cone crusher to start the opening operations . They had a 980 Cat loader with a hammer to break up the larger shot prior to hauling to the crusher. It was pretty fast at getting to the large oulders. Later we rented it to tear up a large factory slab a foot thick and the 8 inch parking loa around the building. It was handy for the parking lot work. It did stress the old loader out. It had to have several welds gauged and rewelded. I got to run it a few days, You steered it all the way one side then start hammering and steer to the other side. It was fairly easy once you got started.
On the 12 inch slab we used it to make perforations so the 300 Komatsu could pull it up in slabs to be used in a shore reinforcement project another company was on.
