now over to avonmouth 'G' shed a very light & airy place to work but years back it was a nightmare shed to load from
G shed runs a few volvo loaders from one of the first type L50's onto L120B's /C's & the newer F series

not sure if this is an E or an F series loading me with HiPro Soya, taken at Solent Stevedores, southampton docks , you gothave yer wits about you with the solent drivers as some of their sheds are in different areas, so they're quick soon as they they drive in the shed , they've a full bucket & all but loading before they ask you the tonnage you want

the next up are in royal portbury dock , i cant find the pics of the usual volvo loaders but i do have 3 of a Jungby Maskin L17 it didn't last too long on the ABS fleet & has been moved onto the shed cleaners & enjoys a dusty semi retirement a volvo L120F was it's replacement the driver said it wasn't much more than a cheap'n'cheerfull volvo although not half as good !

thats all for now i think , but i'll see if i cant get some of the newer F's & E's & maybe o few of the older B's

Interesting photos. I did read that those Ljungby wheel loaders are the only 3 ever sold in the UK and where supplied by Sleabond Ltd of Newport, South Wales.

there might be a few more at portbury then , i'll keep an eye out

the regular driver 's L120C was transfered to avonmouth G shed & this was his 'new' drive until an F series turned up , he said the JM was a good as a loader , but wasn't a mark on the power of the volvo's hydraulic systems
