These were made to the original Chaseside spec probably made from all spares from Blackburn along with about 30 machines included in the buy out by JCB.in 1968.
by the way pete that film of the old rope shovel is great,it also shows the original colour of the machines from that era .

Do you think the LM 500 and 700s were the same orange colour in the mid to late 50s?
They were certainly giving the rope shovel some stick in the film.

Fordson Major based LM 900, can't think they were made in very large numbers. Possibly about 1958/59 to 1962/63. I reckon they would have been quite heavy and under powered.

oops I was 100 out
It has a very similar loader geometry to the LM700 and with the ad saying increased pry out I guess it was a replacement/upgrade for the LM 600. The 500 and 600 had a layout that meant roll back was only achieved by lifting the bucket.
