Well done again, cracking photos. Nice to hear that John T remembers your Dad. A result for CMN.
I guess the L61B is the first of the 'modern' mid cabbed 4wd. What year? '64-'65 at a guess?

I worked with Denzil Weatherill,A plant fitter with Tarmac Earthmoving Division in 1972/3. At A74 contract Carlisle & Osmotherly By-Pass (A19) Rumour had it Denzil was a Son/Brother of the Weatherill outfit. And was the black sheep of the family. Think he also worked on Kelty by-Pass previous to coming to Carlisle job. The plant Manager was Bill Heath if I remember correctly.

Confusion arises from names with similar spellings e.g. Wetherhill

The 42H looks as though it would have been orange in the Hall colours. Is that a Guy being loaded?
What a beast the L66 was in it's day.
I think we have just about a photo of every Weatherill on this thread thanks to you guys!

When I was telling my Mum about this forum and the documents that John T sent me showing my Dad and the Bothwell depot she told me she also had a Weatherill sign which has been in her garden shed for years. Here is a pic:
Any info on this sign would be appreciated>
Cheers
John

The sign came in with the 12H machine and was used on early machines made at Welwyn
The colours in the photo are wrong I have attached a picture with the correct colour scheme
