Thanks John

So was the 22 really a replacement for the 2H? I guess they overlapped and then there was a 12 as well. All rear drive Ford based machines.

Hope you are well

Peter

The 22H was not a replacement for the 2H it was developed as a cheaper alternative for Local Authorities but it became popular with the ReadyMix industry.

Hi Pete the top one is an 8H that has had the Fordson skid unit removed and replaced with a Volvo tractor unit (Drive Axle and engine cover) the second unit has been painted in Fordson colours it is fitted with the wrong driving wheels.

Hi everyone! :)

Here are some pics of my Weatherill 42-H loader...

That's how i bought it at a farm in Lower Austria - it was a bit dirty, but the engine and the functions worked very well! The only things, that didn't work, were the brakes...

My employers truck braught it to the shop for fixing the brakes:

...at my company's workshop the most important thing to do was washing it for the first time:

Then they fixed the brakes and the loader was moved to my hometown, where i can keep it:

Arrived at it's new home, we mounted the cabin and then had a few months break over the winter :)

Last summer, we began the restoration works. We removed the cabin, the counterweight and the battery and again gave him a shower... ;)

...the engine also doesn't look bad, since a thick layer of oil, grease and other dirt is washed away:

We remounted the hood and then we were done for that day... :)

Next thing to do was mounting 2 batteries and all the electric lines:

The hose to the airfilter was fixed more or less and the filter itself was filled with new oil:

The engine started without any problems - time to drive to a even surface to mount the conterweight...

monting the counterweight wit the help of a Liebherr L509:
